The Reading of the Names - A 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial

Twenty-five years on, Jackson pauses to remember. Beginning at 3 PM, volunteers will read aloud the names of all 2,977 people lost on September 11, 2001 - a tradition of remembrance hosted at the falls by the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation - Jackson MI together with Farm Bureau Insurance. As the reading carries through the afternoon, Jackson County's own country artist Kevin Wolff performs live, and the evening closes with a patriotic light show on the historic Cascade Falls. The Great American Food Truck and D&X Coffee will be on site, so you can settle in and stay a while. It is free and open to everyone - bring your family, and arrive for 3 PM if you want to be there when the first names are read.
