Kids Markets at River & Rail

Kids Markets brings young entrepreneurs to River & Rail, where kids ages 5 to 17 run their own booths and sell products they made or sourced themselves. The kids handle the selling, the questions and the money — parents are asked to sit at the back of the booth and let them lead. It lands on a Saturday at the food hub on W North Street, the same site as the Saturday Grand River Farmers Market, and organisers expect around 3,000 people through the day. If you want your own child in it, a booth is $25 and vendor registration closes at 8:00 PM on Friday, July 31, or whenever the last of the 58 spots sells out. Otherwise, stop in and shop the booths — there are 58 of them, and every one is run by a kid.
